Some of the Bible’s most compelling stories
involve bread – manna from heaven, the feeding of the 5,000, and the Last
Supper. That is because bread symbolizes God’s provision for our lives, first
in a physical sense and later in a spiritual one. Jesus became the bread of life, broken for us
so that we might have eternal life through him.
